Corporate Responsibility

At ARC, corporate responsibility means participating as an active member in our communities; ensuring the health and safety of all stakeholders and the environment; and running our business in a manner that is ethical and transparent.

We approach corporate responsibility with the same disciplined approach as we do our operating and financial targets because we believe that responsible corporate practices are vital to our success. In 2012, we had many successes in management of both health and safety and the environment. Here are some of the highlights:

50 per cent Decrease in lost time incidents among ARC employees
Reduced Emission Intensity by 9 per cent
  • Zero lost time incidents among ARC employees
  • 50% decrease in contractor lost time incidents
  • 22% reduction in total health and safety incidents corporately
  • Completed the new Ante Creek gas plant as a low emissions facility
  • Reduced Emission Intensity by 9%

We engaged our stakeholders through:

  • 2012 Corporate Responsibility Report
  • Two community open houses in field locations
  • Regular communication with investors through corporate filings,
    one on one meetings and attendance at conferences.
